What is the Supervised
Independent Living (SIL) Program? |
|
The Supervised Independent Living (SIL) Program is part of the
New Opportunities Waiver and is designed to teach individuals
with developmental disabilities to live as independent as
possible in a home setting. In the program, consumers learn
valuable skills such as money management, safety, cooking,
housekeeping, social skills, hygiene, grooming and the use of
community resources. |

Who qualifies for services?
Individuals disabled during the developmental
period (before age 22) who meet both SSI Disability criteria and the
level of care determination for an ICF/MR

(NOW) services?

to the Request for Services Registry contact the Office for Citizens
with Developmental Disabilities at 1-866-783-5553
