What is the Long Term Personal
Care Services Program? |
|
The
Long Term Personal Care Services Program is a Medicaid funded
non-waiver program, which provides a limited amount of personal
care services to qualified recipients. This program provides
assistance with such activities as: personal hygiene, light
household chores, shopping, meal preparation, eating, bathing,
dressing, and toileting. |

Who qualifies for services?
-
Medicaid recipients age 65 or older, or 21
years of age or older and disabled
(according to the Social
Security Administration definition
-
Meet requirements of nursing facility level
of care
-
Or are likely to have to go to a
nursing facility within the next 120 days
-
Or have a primary care-giver who has
a disability or is over the age of 70
